Idea and Hazard Tips for Survive Your Ideas
Use a short checklist to choose what to write, spot an escape route, and react when multiple hazards share the arena.
FAQ
Should I stay in the same safe spot after a new word?
How can I practice choosing better ideas?
How should you choose an idea?
Look at the arena before you type. If there is already a threat nearby, choose a simple idea and be ready to move as soon as you see the result. Treat each writing turn as a chance to observe how one idea changes the space around you.
What should you watch when hazards overlap?
Check which hazard threatens your current position and which one could cut off your escape. For example, if you have room to move sideways, keep that option open until you see where the new threat goes. Recheck your route after you move because the angle and distance have changed.
What can you learn after getting eliminated?
Pick one moment to review. Did you see the new hazard early enough? Did you run into a spot with only one exit? In the next round, focus on changing that one decision. If you are still learning the turn order, start with how to play.

How do you choose between height and open space?
Use the newest hazard cue to decide whether you need height or room to move. In recorded gameplay, lava instructs players to get off the ground. If the threat is approaching from one direction, check whether moving sideways leaves a clearer route than climbing into a spot with few exits.
| What you observe | First move to consider | Check before committing |
|---|---|---|
| The floor becomes hazardous | Move to reachable height | Can you get there from where you stand? |
| A threat approaches from one side | Move across its path early | Where can you turn after moving? |
| Your current escape route closes | Take the clearest reachable exit | Does the exit run through another hazard? |
How can you review a failed escape?
Think back to when you first noticed the threat, where you moved, and whether you still had a second way out. Those three details tell you what to practice next. Change one choice at a time so you can see which adjustment makes the next escape easier.
| What went wrong | Adjustment for the next match |
|---|---|
| You saw the hazard after it reached you | Read the new cue as soon as it appears |
| Your route ended against an obstacle | Pick a turn or exit before you start running |
| Two threats converged on your route | Reassess your position after each new word |
Suppose you climb to escape a floor hazard and then see another threat near the platform. Before jumping down, check whether the ground is usable and whether you can move along the platform instead. This is a practice scenario, not a fixed sequence of game events.

Where can you check the game and its controls?
Use the Roblox experience page to open the game, and compare the controls you see in your own lobby with recorded gameplay. The examples here explain decisions you can practice. If a prompt or menu looks different after an update, follow the instructions shown on your screen.
